
This anthology contains poetry, short stories, essays, humor, excerpts from biographies, historical fiction, nonfiction outdoor adventures, an excerpt from a novella and even short stories taking place in Finland before moving to the logging camps in the Pacific Northwest. The nine authors include six former Language Art's teachers and three of their students. One student, Bonnie Olin writes outdoor adventures accompanied by her husband Mike Quigley the photographer. The two wrote and published a book with photographs about the Owyhee River in Eastern Oregon. A second student Bev Garrett, paints highly detailed pictures, in addition to her book of Poetry and short stories. An older student, Glenna Johnson, writes about her grandchildren and a historical fiction recreation of her father who was a tail gunner on a B-17 shot down over Poland. The teachers have written a variety of books. Barb. McMinimy, wrote a nonfiction book about her friendship with an English Russian schoolteacher. In addition to visiting each other’s homes, they have continued keeping in touch using skype. Barb wrote titled Love, Vera. Debora Cullen wrote a beautiful book of poetry illustrated by paintings of Kathy Gunson, a friend. Marc Laakso is working on a book about a process he discovered about double exposures to create special effects with film photography. Conrad Roemer has written a memoir of his and his wife's ancestry. He also wrote about the year the family traveled in a pickup camper when he was on sabbatical. As a follow up, he wrote, Following the Dream by travelling to the deep south to explore how segregation was working. In the writing group he wrote book Kayaking: Yellowstone to the Gulf. Agnes Warren wrote two books, Where the Huckleberry’s Grow and Even Seagulls Cry. She wrote about growing up in Finland and the Pacific Northwest. Kenneth Fenter wrote eight novels, a novella, an anthology, and three nonfiction books. In the last five years he finished Incessant Expectations,
