When Buzz Winters, a wealthy bachelor, decided to steal his grandmother's diamond necklace back from a heartless and dishonest jeweler he never thought that he would end up as a guardian angel of two orphans, thirteen year old George and his nine year old sister Emily. The two runaways were eager but cautious when they accepted Buzz's offer to find them a suitable home, which made them anxious to help Buzz with retrieving his necklace. It was difficult to explain to Phoebe, Buzz's girlfriend, the reason for his actions and it was only the charming and honest disposition of George and Emily that persuaded her to go along with Buzz's idea to care for the kids. Phoebe s influence as a lawyer was impressive and helpful but her skills could not prevent Buzz from getting shot by the jewelers guard and the kidnapping of Emily after their escapades to get the diamond necklace. Although Buzz and Phoebe s idea of their future was realistic, they got much more than they bargained for after they discovered who the real George and Emily were.
