"Eat, drink, and be merry because that is the meaning of life," admonishes Qohelet, one of our earliest poets. Food and drink surround us. We spend much of our time preparing or consuming it. Lovers bond over it. We celebrate birthdays, retirements, and holidays with it. This collection of poems looks at food, picnics, restaurants, and bars, noting the myriad activities which accompany eating and drinking.
