For the people living around the mighty Susquehanna River, the Flood of 2011 is one that will be remembered for years. Tropical Storm Lee hovered over an area that had recently seen moderate local flooding, and produced historical flooding. Areas, which had not been hit in the last fifty years, had flood damage, and in some areas, the damages added up to millions of dollars. We are not some heavily populated cities but we are a very rural area with small towns and villages. Living beside the Susquehanna River is pleasant most of the time, and sometimes we forget the dangers that come with flooding. In this book, you will see photographs of New York Towns and Villages, Owego, Tioga Center, Cannon Hole, Nichols and Waverly. Also included are these Pennsylvania Towns and Villages, East Athens, East Side of Sayre, Milltown, Sheshequin, Ulster, Rome, Towanda, and the Borough of Athens, which all lay adjacent to the Susquehanna River.
