Ye swains, now hasten to the bank, Where falls the winding brook; Ye virgins come, their latest song For you the woodlands raise,--For you, amid tho secret shade, The lover finds the clustering nuts. Simon. And where tho topmost bough Spreads forth its tempting fruit, He crushes down tho tree, Or shakes a glossy shower; Then through the foliage spies The maid he loves approach, And sportive at her feet The rolling nuts he flings. Lucas. Beneath the orchard's bending tree, The smiling damsels stand, All like the fruit they gather up, AN INTERVAL OF FIFTEEN MINUTES. PART SECOND. DUET.--Madame Sherrington and Mr. E. Lloyn.
