This book on "Manual of Medical Emergencies" is written in the interest of residents who are on emergency duties and has to handle various life-threatening conditions. Effort is made to cover all common emergencies encountered in Intensive Care Unit. The sole motto is to provide students, trainees and practitioner's concise matter on medical emergencies which will help them to recognize and provide prompt management in a critical situation when it is rewarding and a life is saved. The book will be sure useful to final year examination going medical students. General practitioners though do not treat much of emergencies at least as they are the family physicians who first see the case, if they have proper knowledge, they can diagnose and promptly refer the cases to bigger institution where ICU facility is available.
