Science fiction is the literature of warning. It helps us understand the future consequences of the technological innovations that enter our lives. It holds a mirror up to us so that we don't destroy ourselves and make the world uninhabitable. For this reason, it was almost impossible that the discussions about AI wouldn't be caught by our authors' radar since it has been the favorite topic of recent days. Another subject we cover in Radioactive Dreams is environmental disasters... While the necessity of the radioactive power plant being built in our region, Mediterranea, is still a matter of debate, the motif of radiation took its place in the background of some stories, while in others it is the protagonist. Femicides and reactionary movements are on our agenda too and they form the basis of the two dystopian stories in our selection. Because science fiction literature is also political... It shows us how existing political movements and regimes will change our society and reflects this to us as a warning. Our authors hold a mirror but it is up to us to look into this mirror, recognize the dangers and take precautions.
