Aquaculture is playing an increasingly critical role in global food security and sustainable development. While advances in technology, biotechnology, and data science offer great opportunities for the aquaculture sector, there is also a growing need for new approaches to ensure environmental, economic, and social sustainability. This book, “Developments in Aquaculture: Trends, Challenges, and Applications – Ist Edition”, provides a broad overview of current issues and recent developments in aquaculture. It covers a wide range of topics including new technologies, sustainable feed alternatives, monitoring methods, genetic biomarkers, and digitalization. The book includes eight original chapters, each focusing on different aspects of aquaculture.
