These books are intended for students of all ages who are interested in learning how to read an orchestral score. They are for use in conjunction with gramophone records. The two earlier books in the series (Ochestration and Musical Form) provided opportunities for score reading at a more elementary level. This third book is slightly more advanced, and covers the history of the concerto.
